Helping Hannah achieve her Triathlon "Dream"

Hannah (Davies) broke her back, 4 years ago, in a snowboard accident.  The immediate fear was that she may not be able to walk again.  An intensive period of therapy and rehabilitation pursued.  Straight after the accident she had surgery and due to that they had to get Hannah up and walking little steps – and then hiking and treking became a more appropriate pastime on the road to recovery.

Eventually, her clinicians gave Hannah the “all clear” to return to sport.  She started casual jogging with friends, then her first half marathon, leading to being inspired to try the triathlon. Triathlon is a multi-discipline sport consisting of swimming, cycling and running.

Well that was it!  She fell in love with the sport and decided this was to be her next challenge in a journey to return to an active lifestyle and fitness.  Hannah says: “I was so determined and trained relentlessly in a desire to fulfil my dreams”.

Hannah has already achieved so much with the support of family, friends and health professionals/coaches.  Her meteorhic rise has seen her compete and qualify for Age Group Team GB and racing in Glasgow has been the pinancle of success to date.  Olympic qualifiers and such disciplined training are the next milestone. “This experience has shown me that this is what I want to do and aspire to be at the top end of Age Group Team GB.  I dream to become ‘elite’ and I will take every day to work towards that dream and goal in my come back”.

Can you help in some way by donating to support this incredible journey – and be associated with success whilst benefitting from one of our great portfolio of awards?
